NightPlanet (the "App") is a purely local application:
Zero network access: the App contains no networking code at all. There is no server, and no data ever leaves your device;
Zero third-party SDKs: no analytics, advertising, crash-reporting, or push components are integrated;
Zero tracking: no tracking, no analytics, no profiling. Each playback session is invisible to us;
Free, ad-free, and no in-app purchases — we have no motive to monetize user data in any form.
This matches the App's bundled privacy manifest (PrivacyInfo.xcprivacy) exactly: it declares no tracking (NSPrivacyTracking = false) and an empty set of collected data types.
2.What Data We Collect
No data at all. There is no account system of any kind, no sign-up or sign-in is required, and we hold no information that could be linked to your identity.
3.System Capabilities the App Uses
The App requests no sensitive permissions such as location, contacts, photos, microphone, camera, or notifications. The only system capabilities it uses are:

All built-in sound material is packaged inside the App (real field recordings plus procedurally synthesized noise beds), so playback never requires a network connection.
4.Data Stored on Your Device
Everything below is kept in the App's local storage on your device (UserDefaults / the App sandbox) purely so the App can remember your state:
How to erase it: delete the relevant item in Settings, or simply uninstall the App — uninstalling removes all data permanently. We cannot restore it and we cannot access it. No cloud copy exists (iCloud sync is not offered).
5.Widgets and Apple Watch
The Home Screen / Lock Screen widgets and the Watch App work with the main App through a local shared container on your device, showing the current mix and playback state and relaying playback controls. This happens entirely on your devices — never through a network connection and never through us.
Scope: this policy covers the NightPlanet iOS App, its Home Screen / Lock Screen widget extension, and the companion Apple Watch App.
6.Children's Privacy
The App does not collect information from children under 13, and does not collect personal information from users of any age. Its content rating is 4+.
7.Data Security
Because no data leaves your device, there are no in-transit or at-rest security risks. The App does not use encryption to transmit data (there is no data to transmit), consistent with the App Store export-encryption exemption.
8.Changes to This Policy
If a future version introduces any data-processing behaviour (for example, if cloud sync were reinstated), we will update this policy accordingly and announce it on the App Store page. No change affects existing data beyond the "no collection" baseline already promised here.
